The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

In November, the oldest School of Tropical Medicine in the world is celebrating its jubilee. Since so much of its work has been given to Africa, in particular West Africa, it was thought that readers of this Journal would take a very special interest in a summary of its achievement so far. The author, who is highly qualified to describe this, prefers to remain anonymous.
