This survey of recent developments, especially in British Tropical Africa, is by the Colonial Liaison officer at the Building Research Station of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, near Watford. Mr. Atkinson attended the Johannesburg Conference last October, and is at the moment in East Africa.
