The Customary Oath in the Gold Coast

The new course in the Gold Coast should not conceal the complicated structure underlying the European system. This article illustrates some of the details of local custom. It is by a clerk from Nxima, with 28 years service in the Administration, and forms part of a longer study on Law and government.
