ANNUAL REPORT OF THE COUNCIL—1959

Sir Charles Arden Clarke, G.C.M.G., was elected Chairman of Council at the Annual General Meeting, on April 29th, 1959, in succession to Lord Hailey. Sir Charles was the last Governor of the Gold Coast and the first Governor-General of Ghana.
